In March 2007, six former members of the group (The classic 5 line: up Alan Longmuir, Derek Longmuir, Leslie Mckeown, Eric Faulkner, Stuart Wood plus Faure) announced a lawsuit against Arista Records in hopes of claiming what they describe as “tens of millions of dollars” of unpaid royalties. Nobby Clark has threatened to sue the other band members if their lawsuit is successful, stating that he was the creative force behind the band’s success, despite the fact that he left the group in 1973 before their fame and fortune began. His stance has caused bemusement amongst fans calling his claims ludicrous stating he's a 'jealous, attention seeking idiot'. Some called him stupid, others an idiot. One fan took it further saying "I'm not surprised a certain lead singer can't stand him".
In September 2010, Gordon “Nobby” Clark, Ian Mitchell and Pat McGlynn filed a complaint in the courts in the United States against the six members (Les Mckeown, Eric Faulkner, Stuart Wood, Alan Longmuir, Derek Longmuir plus Faure) over their being excluded from the case against Arista records. Clark, Mitchell and McGlynn are seeking to have their rights determined and are also seeking financial damages against the Bay City Rollers for alleged breach of contract. (Ian having been in the group for 5 minutes! And how long was Pat in the group for?) Mr Clark said in a newspaper article that he wanted any BCR fans who still have Roller records with his vocals on them to burn them. Pretty good advice. Or for safety reasons maybe best not to burn them maybe just throw them in the bin after you've first taken a sledge hammer to them and broken them into pieces. Maybe pour some cooking oil on them or something like that, (just to be on the safe side) then bin them.
That way you will be able to breath a sigh of relief knowing that you (and anybody else for that matter) will not have to hear the sound of this man's voice.
