Eric Faulkner's Bay City Rollers
(Yes, another version of the BCR!)
After the Bay City Rollers split in the 70's, the Rollers went their separate ways. Derek became a nurse, Woody went to South Africa, Les went solo and Eric, hmm. not too sure about Eric. Of course there was that concert they did in the early 80's in Leeds where someone got hurt by a bottle thrown into the crowd wasn't there? But Eric did pop up again in the 80's on TV saying he would like to make a come-back. Although Les Mckeown is the one who gets the most publicity in the press about his legendary 'Rollers', after the original group split it was actually Eric Faulkner who put together a 'Roller' group first. He formed a group with his girlfriend Kass and some other men who's names I don't know in the 80's. They called themselves The New Rollers. At some point Woody and Alan joined the group. Eventually that ended and now Eric has formed another version of the Bay City Rollers. Les has his 'Rollers' and Eric has his. But of course, none will ever be as good as the originals all together! And it will never be the same because everyone has gotten older and as much as we'd love to try, nobody can turn back time. Things will never be the same as they were in the 70's. But I'm sure there are quite a few fans who's favourite Roller was Eric who would quite like to see him in concert again.
